We went to Tianammen Square yesterday. We saw Mao and stood where he stood when he waved to the square. Mao looked pretty good, but he should probably get out more. We then went to lunch at a very fancy restaurant. I almost stole a pair chopsticks from there, but I ended up doing that at dinner. After lunch, we went to the Forbidden City. People were ‘secretly’ taking photos of me. One person came up to Chelsea and asked for a picture. After walking around so much that day, we were all exhausted. I passed out when we got back around 8:00. Today we’re going to a few temples and a Chinese acrobatics show

YouTube, the Facebook and 4chan all don’t work. What do I even do at 6:00 in the morning?

What a long day. It’s 22:00 and I’ve been up since 6:00 yesterday (with time-change). First a flight into Toronto, then after a couple hours, we were Beijing bound. The 12 hour flight was painfully long, but so worth it. We are staying at Beijing Foreign Studies University, probably the most ghetto place I have ever been. The shower takes like 10 seconds to adjust temperature, my roommate’s and my door is a pain to open, my bed is extremely firm (like sleeping on a comfy table), and paint is peeling from humidity. Did I mention it’s pretty musty? Oh well, Tienanmen Square tomorrow and Chinese Acrobatics later that night. Also I tried some weird fruit stuff and it was kinda good. I might survive after all. 再见!
